We’re looking for a Planning & Operations Analyst to join Snap Inc. As a member of the Spotlight Content team, you will shape Spotlight’s footprint and take part in the development and implementation of vital initiatives throughout MENA and other regions. You’ll collaborate with the broader Content team as well as our Talent, Partnerships, Camera Platform, and Product teams to build Spotlight into a compelling destination for local audiences and creators.
What you’ll do:-
Shape Spotlight in MENA and internationally, help with bringing together content distribution, audience insights, growth campaigns, creator incentives, content acquisition and other work streams with the goal of kick-starting a self-sufficient content ecosystem in the region.
Own and report on regional and market-level metrics, derive actionable insights from data to inform resource allocation and XFN decisions.
Assist with the formulation of our global plans and analytical tasks.
Ideate on market-wide initiatives and enable local Spotlight infrastructure for internal stakeholders. Support local content acquisition efforts, structure a portfolio of seeding programs, define target content categories, track success metrics and work with XFN counterparts to ensure the quality of acquired content.
Play a role in content operations efforts in MENA countries, collaborate with the policy and moderation teams to ramp up content sufficiency and creator experience work.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:-
Understanding of the content ecosystem in MENA, including UGC content platforms
A strategic vision for vertical video products
Outstanding strategic and analytical skills, ability to analyze large quantities of data, find dependencies between product engagement metrics and package these insights into actionable strategies Ability to mix quantitative and qualitative inputs into insights and strategic initiatives
Highly developed communication skills, ability to convey and defend own ideas
Expertise in internet trends and pop culture
Outstanding execution skills and the ability to proactively add value
Highly resourceful, flexible and brings positivity to the work environment
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
3+ years working in digital content or social media
Passion and knowledge of internet trends and pop culture
Data-driven mindset and strong analytical skills
Comfort with data and dashboard applications (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
Fluent Arabic speaker
Working knowledge of Snapchat
Preferred Qualifications:-
Experience working with product/engineering teams
Ability to work with external partners and creators
