Thai Gate Cafe Group Sharjah: Job Description
Job Tittle: Procurement Accountant
Job Description :-
This position is primarily responsible for purchasing all the restaurant supplies and materials needed, and ensuring that all vendor payments are accurate and made on a timely basis. This position will also have responsibility for fixed assets and assisting with month-end close activities. This position will also provide support to the Business Manager as needed. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.
Essential Job Functions:-
- Purchasing of the restaurant supplies and materials needed and entering purchase orders into Xero.
- Tracking receipt of the restaurant supplies and materials needed and matching receipts with invoices.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Process of payments against purchase orders.
- Review of payments for compliance with internal controls.
- Maintain fixed asset schedule and supporting documentation.
- Monthly calculations of depreciation and posting of related journal entries.
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:-
- 3+ years accounts payable and/or general accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of Xero accounting software.
- Basic understanding of the need for proper controls.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Detail oriented, accurate.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
