Full Job Description :-
Department:The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) is one of the UAE’s oldest and most prestigious universities. Established in 1993 by the University of Wollongong in Australia – currently ranked amongst the leading universities in the world – UOW in Dubai represents a pioneering Australian initiative in the Gulf region.
Person:UOWD is currently seeking applicants to fill the position of Adjunct Lab tutor – Game Development with the Faculty of Engineering & Information Sciences.
The ideal candidate will be delivering labs and tutorials on Game Development – The subject presents more advanced topics in technical game technology, tools for game and animation and Game Graphics.
The position holder is also expected to conduct tutorials and laboratory experiments in the broad areas related to, Computer Games Technology and general tutorial and labs. Subjects of interest include: computer graphics, game development, game engine essentials, GPU programming, 3D modeling, AR & VR. Additionally, the post holder is expected to mark and enhance laboratory coursework, and actively participate in outreach activities.
Experience:Duties and Responsibilities
- Instruct in laboratories related to academic programs in computer science.
- Work with Faculty members to develop lab materials for experiments related to computer science and game development.
- Closely administer lab activities and provide timely feedback to faculty
- Supervise students in a professional manner and grade lab assignments
- Assist students in senior design project activities
- Conduct other duties as assigned by the Head of Department
Qualifications:Qualifications :-
To qualify for this position, you must have:
- Minimum qualification includes a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT
- Teaching experience in labs and tutorials
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, University Staff and wider community.
- Fluency in English language (both spoken and written)
- A commitment to values of Passion, Courage, Integrity, Excellence, Collaboration and Innovation.
- Working knowledge and experience with game development
