Company Description:
We are a scientific office located in Dubai, U.A.E. Our areas of work include marketing, scientific promotional activities, distributing and selling of pharmaceutical medicines. We are looking for a persuasive & professional medical representative to promote and sell our company’s medications to doctors, pharmacists, and other relevant healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
1. Arrange appointments with doctors, pharmacists and hospital medical teams, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular ‘cold’ calling.
2. Make presentations to doctors, practice staff and nurses in GP surgeries, hospital doctors and pharmacists in the retail sector
3. Build and maintain positive working relationships with medical staff and support administrative staff.
4. Manage budgets for catering, outside speakers, conferences and hospitality.
5. Keep detailed records of all contacts.
6. Win new customers, as well as develop long-term relationships with existing ones.
7. Meet and exceed sales targets, regularly monitoring your business plans to make sure you achieve this.
8. Plan work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables with the area sales team or discuss future targets with the area sales manager.
9. Regularly attend company meetings, technical data presentations and briefings.
10. Keep up to date with the latest clinical data supplied by the company, and interpret, present and discuss this data with health professionals during presentations.
11. Analyze sales data to improve results and make sure resources are effectively allocated.
12. Monitor competitor activity and competitors’ products.
13. Anticipate potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapt strategy accordingly develop strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and healthcare sector
14. Stay informed about the activities of health services in a particular area.
15. Demonstrating or presenting products to healthcare staff including doctors, nurses and pharmacists (preferably in the Genecology & Obstetrics Department)
16. Undertaking relevant research of the product including the statistics and epidemiology of consumers, patients & disease.
17. Organize conferences for doctors and other medical staff.
Personal Qualifications:
• Fluent in English (Arabic speaking is a plus).
• Minimum 3 years Medical Representative experience within UAE (experience with Gynaecological & Obstetrics products is preferred)
• Must have previous connections and network with doctors (preferably with Genecology and Obstetrics physicians)
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Sales skills, confidence, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A proven track record within the industry.
• UAE driving license is a must.
• Good persuasive and negotiation skills
• Presentable.
• Ability to work within a team
