Full Job Description :-
Responsibilities:
Manage, organize and control an efficient mechanical engineering workshop including the management of technicians.
Inspect the Trucks and equipment as per the company handover procedures.
Ensuring all mechanical work is carried out in a cost-effective manner through correct diagnosis, repair and maintenance whilst maintaining a high standard in the quality of work performed
Allocate the work on a daily basis to the technicians, monitoring progress and inspecting completed work to ensure the required standards are achieved
Ensure all lifting gears and workshop equipment are maintained to the highest possible standard.
Manage the administration of the mechanical workshop.
Ensure all log books and departmental records are effectively maintained to enable stock control, ordering of parts and all other workshop functions operate efficiently.
Be prepared to step in and assist technicians in times of emergencies.
Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with statutory regulations such as the Workplace Health and Safety policy.
Monitor on regular basis the expenses and the performance of the fleet and present it to the management.
Draw up a budget for the company’s fleet management department and present it to management for further analysis and approval.
Manage the Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking of the company fleet.
Monitor fuel/diesel expenses and present it on regular basis a report to the management.
Ensure compliance of the company with UAE regulations related to the transportation sector.
Take preventive measure to ensure safety of vehicles/equipments and making sure that the vehicles/equipments are inspected on regular basis.
Make sure that all vehicles registrations are up to date in the different authorities.
Qualifications:-
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
+8 years experience as a Workshop & Fleet Engineer in a similar industry (Contracting/Transportation).
Very good leadership & communication skills.
Knowledge of Health Safety & Environment Procedures.
Excellent command of Microsoft Office in English & Arabic.
