Management: functionally lead all EHS resources in the WST MEA Region, including field service and plant activities.

Drive compliance with local SUEZ WTS – regulations and SUEZ WTS-EHS standards for the activities in the region; ensure that forwarding partners work according the local EHS and SUEZ WTS-regulations applicable in the respective countries and at customer sites. Implement and execute EHS programs as defined by EHS-leadership and stated in the goals & objective.

Ensure completion of all regulatory EHS-training in the MEA and Review annual EHS performance and adjust operational goals if needed.

Ensure implementation of SUEZ WTS Programs and continuous improvement in EHS performance at Dubai Plant and at CMS/ES Sales, Field Service & Engineering Organization in MEA region to achieve EHS excellence.

Establish injury prevention initiatives focused on world-class health and safety performance

Implement local EHS programs to ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations and with and Business Policies.

Review monitor contractor activities, safety programs to ensure compliance with SUEZ WTS EHS and regulatory requirements.

Ensure root cause analysis is completed for all injuries and all significant events. Support complex root cause investigations.

Coordinate employee EHS training, induct and train local employees and contractors / service companies in basic EHS awareness and SUEZ WTS / local rules.

Conduct Field EHS audits for Field services activities at customer site. Manage EHS Field audit program leading compliance, evaluating EHS program implementation and ensuring prompt closure of findings.

Drive improvement and track goals achievement through collection, analysis and communication of EHS goals and measurements (including but not limited to programs evaluation, work place audits, findings closure, training completion, injuries and illnesses and other significant events).

Lead or participate in various types of EHS compliance and/or management system audits and providing guidance to field personnel on conformance and best management practices.

Knowledgeable of local EHS regulations affecting business operations and communicates specific regulatory requirements as they apply to the work setting.

Work with the project team to review EHS / Security status of project to ensure a compliant, safe and secure facility is handed-over to operations fully commissioned and tested prior to occupancy

Be a close liaison with local regulatory authorities to ensure operations/activities are in full compliance with regulatory requirements. Give input to leadership team on various compliance requirements, drive compliance assurance program.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college

Preferred degree as chemist or chemical engineer

Minimum of 10 -15 years of experience in EHS management with manufacturing or service facility experience

Experience with Customer interaction

Experience with Regulatory Agency interaction

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated influencing skills in a team environment workforce

Comprehensive knowledge of U.A.E/Gulf regulations.

Ability to work with site management team and with all levels of management

Work experience in chemical manufacturing is preferable

Excellent Leadership Skills.

Must be able to interact with senior leadership, employees & customer.

Demonstrate ability to manage and influence organization culture, personnel and EHS programs across multiple locations.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multi-projects and tasks concurrently by using timelines, budgets and tracking systems of action plan / milestones to assure self or team delivery.

Demonstrated ability to breakdown complex / large problems into smaller steps and develop solutions using objective criteria.

Demonstrated ability to analyze (cost/benefit) and prioritize the most important liabilities and compliance issues and focuses activities / efforts on them.

Knowledge of English
