Job Description :- 

Manage the flow of third-party Acquisition information into and out of the MENA Regional office, by regularly maintaining and updating various databases, tracking documents and share point sites to ensure key stakeholders in the organisation have the latest information they require regarding 3rd Party content. Monitor, consolidate and maintain deal and acquisition database and trackers. Facilitate communication between acquisition and programming departments and local acquisition and programming managers to improve intra-regional dialogue as it pertains to acquisitions and EMEA Acquisitions & Content Strategy. Working across Fox, Hulu, Disney channels and Disney+ brand suite.

Responsibilities :-

  • Process, manage, file, track and respond to all incoming third-party acquisitions inquiries, content pitches, including any follow-up conversations needed.
  • Responsible for gathering materials and information of acquisition content under review for sharing with local acquisition and programming managers.
  • Distribute regular acquisition highlights emails and gather/collate feedback from MENA acquisition managers and programming leads.
  • Consolidate and track content delivery information to relevant departments – where needed.
  • Work with acquisition and programming teams and help preparing evaluations of content for acquisition.
  • Responsible for gathering evaluation materials from producers/distributors and downloading such materials onto TWDC systems ensuring acquisition and programming teams are able to access all assets for screening and evaluation as required.
  • Responsible for managing forms (where used for authorization of deals and/or other necessary internal submission) with the commercial deal/proposal terms on a timely basis and share with key stakeholders and approvers.
  • Gather territory acquisitions updates and send to the EMEA/US ahead of the scheduled calls.
  • Support and/or manage Radar Forms for multi-territory or Regional acquisitions and share with the relevant teams.
  • Support content vendor set-up in SAP alongside finance and/or legal teams.
  • Create an Acquisitions Tracker document with all the relevant information of deals and keep it updated and accessible to the team.
  • Attend relevant internal programming and acquisition meetings, including research and/or marketing meetings requiring action of Acquisition team and sharing insights, review outcomes or highlights with the Acquisitions team.
  • As a Dubai based employee, attend all relevant employee events such as Employee Forum, etc.
  • Liaise with the finance, legal and technical mastering teams to ensure efficient communication of all MENA Multi-territory deals.
  • Support preparation of all relevant markets such as MIPTV, Annecy, Cartoon Forum, MIP Junior, MipCom etc. alongside with accountable assistants and/or managers. Coordinate schedules with local, Regional and the US teams.
  • Support in the preparation of summits and conferences (such as the Programming Conference, AOP preparation meetings, etc.).
  • Be very proactive in screening regularly Disney, Fox and 3rd Party content as well as the MENA children’s and entertainment channels to get a deep knowledge of the brands and our competitors.
  • Help the team in preparing decks for internal and/or external use, and support or carry out ad hoc requests where relevant and necessary to conduct diligently acquisition responsibilities as customary in the television industry.

Basic Qualifications :-

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as an intern, P.A. or coordinator role in Television or related media field.
  • Proficient in following applications: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint.
