CWM Governance is overall responsible for overseeing a strong governance framework within the CWM business It plays an active role in implementing and ensuring its alignment with the banks strategic regulatory and control practices defined primarily by compliance operational risk and audit
CWM Governance has also been identified as the designated unit for review of certain high risk related activities as an independent unit for CWM business As such HRA Approval Unit is being formed within theCWM Governance and Transformation This unit is primarily responsible for review of high risk cases andor customer name screening hit referrals referred by business units within CWM during onboarding of a newexisting customer

Detailed Description:

Essential Job Function Purpose of the profile is as follows;-

  • Manage and Oversee the High Risk Approval Unit
  • Managing the Governance Related Profile
  • Compliance Updates and Advisory Role for Business
  • Work as a Business Partner for all Business segments under Consumer and Wealth Management

Job Requirements:

  • Prioritize onboarding cases via High Rish Account Analysis team and Enhance Due Deligence reviews via Enhance Due Deligence team appropriately
  • Manage HRA EDD team escalations
  • Manage and oversee the HRA EDD Review units in providing exceptional experience throughout the onboarding and CDD journey
  • Ensure quality standards are being met across the endtoend review process
  • Oversee the completion of onboarding cases in an efficient and timely manner and in line with productivity goals
  • Identify inaccuracies or defects that might emerge during the onboarding process and work with the stakeholder to explain steps required to solve these issues
  • Maintain an indepth understanding and comprehension of the various compliance policies related to client onboarding and thus act as a subject matter expert to stakeholders across EI
  • Provide practical consultative support to team members and management and the various business units to ensure compliance risks are proactively identified and appropriately managed
  • Works collaboratively across CWM and encourages others to achieve results within the operational compliance related activities accountability to EI Compliance
  • Maintain an indepth understanding and comprehension of the various compliance policies and thus act as a subject matter expert to CWM
  • Monitor Progress on Remediation of FATCA CRS HRR
  • Monitor Closure of RFIs at L1 L2
  • Monitor ExitsMandatory NonMandatory
  • Provide coaching and training for the staff where needed
  • Supervise and motivate the team membersincluding quality and productivity

Qualifications;-

  • Bachelors Degree or above
  • Good understanding of Banking local regulations and current developments
  • ACAMS would be an added advantage
  • At least 10 years of experience in Banking industry of which 3 years within Governance or Compliance teams
  • Working knowledge of Know Your CustomerKYC policies and procedures
  • Knowledgeable of Business Entity Types and Beneficial Ownership
  • Good Knowledge of Basic Banking activities
  • Good Understanding of the bank operations basic product knowledge is needed
  • Excellent communicationwritten and verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to consistently achieve productivity goals
  • Thorough knowledge of computers MS office is a must
  • Strong team management skills such as leadership supervision motivation delegation
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently and with the team
  • Ability to define and drive targets for the team
  • Ability to quickly understand and utilize internal toolssystems used
  • Ability to prioritize work in a timepressure environment
  • Ability to develop working relationships with business partners
  • Ability to provide coaching and training
