About the Role

We are looking to appoint an experienced Design and Technology Technician with immediate effect.
This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who has vast experience as a DT Technician within a school and is looking to utilize and share their knowledge within a newly development department.

As a full time DT Technician, the school will expect you to essentially perform as if you were a permanent member of staff. You will be expected to carry out the following duties:

  • Setting up practical lessons
  • Assisting in demonstrating practical lessons
  • Providing support to Teacher and Students
  • Maintaining Equipment within the classroom
  • Ensuring health and safety is being adhered to at all times
  • Purchasing kit/equipment
  • Ensuring practical work areas are safe and hazard free
  • Training teachers and students when required
  • To be proficient in the use of the range of CAM equipment and provide technical support during and outside of lesson time
  • To be proficient in a range of CAD software and provide technical support during and outside of lesson time
