Job Description :-
We are looking for a determined sourcing professional with good analytical and communicative skills. You will be working in an international organisation and will be part of one of the largest bunker buyers in the Middle East situated in Dubai with a focus on the UAE ports of Fujairah, Khor Fakkan and Jebel Ali.
Job purpose and role
Handling of day-to-day bunker purchasing from physical market.
Internal stakeholder management.
Optimizing and handling the supplier portfolio and relationships.
Involvement in trading derivatives/hedging techniques.
Market analysis for trading strategies and contract demand.
Ensuring persistent data and KPI follow-up .
Claims handling and post fixing follow-up.
Job specific skills and personal competencies
A commercial approach to procurement and an insight to bunker trading strategies.
At least 3 years of experience within the marine / bunker sector.
Excellent influencing skills and strong analytical skills.
Fluent in English, verbally as well as in writing.
Proven understanding of bunker buying and operational methodologies.
Demonstrable “hands on” problem solving abilities in multi-cultural and dynamic environments.
Able to analyze market and price development.
Can handle pressure and flexibility to work after hours.
As a person you are outgoing and social with an ability to interact with various stakeholders. You are result-oriented, structured and a proactive individual who is comfortable operating at all levels to solve issues.
You are a self-starter who operates effectively with minimum supervision and a positive attitude.
