Consulting and Training Engineer
Located in: Dubai
Start: 15/03/2022
The Consulting and Training Engineer will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of trainings to HIMA’s customers and employees about our products (hardware and software), throughout the territory covered by HIMA Middle East. Therefore, the participants will be able to handle and to use HIMA’s products in the adequate way, with the most efficiency.
The Consulting and Training Engineer will be responsible for providing functional safety consultancy services to HIMA’s customers, according to international IEC standards.
Expectations and Tasks
Training:-
- Coordinate the organization by preparing the rooms, equipment and material; and deliver the trainings to the customer at HIMA ME.
- Adapt the training content, integrating special request as per customer and/or participants needs and expectations (customer applications, add-ons, libraries)
- Validate the learning process continuously and adapt it when necessary.
- Prepare training documents and records – E.g. List of participants, Feedback Form, Certificate.
- Provide training documents and records to the Commercial department upon the completion of training for invoicing
- Get familiar and support on the assessment of new products
Technical Support (Hotline):-
- Provide technical support to customer and internal staff in one working day via email or in 30 minutes via phone for following:
- Support for product use
- Advising customer during planning steps
- System presentation for sales support
- Support in case of problem
- Transfer problem information to HPH in case where direct help is not possible
- Transfer problem information to service department where service job is necessary
- Coordinate with project manager when problem is related to project
- Preparation of support documents/records
Functional Safety Consulting Services:-
- The Engineer works on work packages which are specified by the Manager. When dealing with larger work packages, it is necessary to work in a team. The list of typical work packages are as per below.
- HAZOP
- SIL Assessment
- SRS
- SIL Verification
- Validation & Verification Plan
- FS Audit
- FS Training
- The work package has to be wound up based on the deadlines and costs/investments given by the Manager. Variations have to be communicated to the Manager as soon as possible.
- Ability to handle following tasks
- Clarification of the work package
- Conceptual and detail planning
- Execution of work package
- Preparation of report/records
- Submission of report/record to customer
- Provide FS support to customer and internal staff for following
- IEC Life cycle support
- Advising customer during planning steps
- FS presentation for sales support
Qualifications and Skills:-
- Degree in Engineering or Automation-related discipline
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in automation of industry processes
- IEC61508 & IEC61511 standard knowledge
- Engilish Prociency: Business Fluently
