Job Tittle:  Materials Coordinator

 

Full Job Description :- 

Ordering and expediting raw materials for the Plants maintaining open communication with suppliers and production schedulers.
• Using designated preferred inbound carriers to ensure on-time delivery to meet production schedule as needed.
• Expediting inbound orders and reconciling discrepancies in shipments and/or invoices with suppliers.
• Establishing a positive and effective relationship with suppliers.
• Initiating and following up on any supplier/carrier non-conformance issues
• Assisting in any cost reduction initiatives.
• Regularly update Raw Materials schedule, by adjusting delivery dates on POs as needed.
• Communicate supply availability with the Production Scheduler to minimize supply chain disruption and adjust orders accordingly.
• Ensure all paperwork from suppliers is available in advance of shipping and complies with regional requirements in coordination with local Import Coordinators. Facilitate any required changes in the paperwork with the supplier.
• Preparing and analyzing monthly reports, forecasting monthly requirements to vendors, initiating purchasing orders, and monitoring costs of acquisition.

Desired Candidate Profile:-

Minimum Experience:-

-Prior exposure to raw material ordering through an internship or on-the-job experience

-Supply Chain Experience in a Manufacturing environment is an asset

-Experience with computerized ERP / MRP systems (SAP highly preferred)
