Job Tittle: Director Of Quality & Safety

Job Description :-
Position Summary:
Director of Quality & Safety (DQS) reports directly to the Commander on all airworthiness, quality & safety related matters.
Role Description: Key Responsibilities/KRAs/KPIs:
2.1 Administration and control of the Quality and Safety Management Systems.
2.2 Administration and control of the CAMME and associated procedures manuals.
2.3 Monitoring compliance with CAR 145 and CAR M requirements and requesting remedial action from department managers, as necessary.
2.4 Providing the Accountable Manager with feedback on quality & safety audit findings.
2.5 Production of Quality Assurance & Safety Notices to inform engineering personnel of airworthiness, quality and safety related matters or interim changes to company procedures as required.
2.6 Administration of the Maintenance Certification Authorization system.
2.7 Issuing Variations to aircraft maintenance program task intervals and Concessions to CAMME procedures in accordance with approved procedures.
2.8 Assessment of contractors, suppliers and other specialist services, to ensure compliance with COMPANY and GCAA requirements.
2.9 Primary liaison with the GCAA on all airworthiness, quality and safety related matters concerning COMPANY aircraft and approvals.
2.10 Submission of reports of un-airworthy conditions or incidents to GCAA in accordance with UAE Civil Aviation Requirements and COMPANY procedures.
2.11 In the event of an incident or occurrence, to liaise with Director of Engineering to convene a technical board of enquiry.
2.12 Liaison with GCAA regarding approval of COMPANY internally produced documents, i.e., CAMME, Aircraft Maintenance Programs, Flight Test Manuals, and Minimum Equipment Lists etc.
2.13 Ensuring all Technical Training conducted by COMPANY is compliant with current regulatory requirements.
2.14 To issue UAE GCAA Release Certificates on behalf of COMPANY when supplying internally released components to other Approved Maintenance Organizations.
2.15 To issue Airworthiness Review Certificates (ARCs) when duly authorised by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager.
Other Responsibilities:
Holder of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License in at least two categories.
Ten years’ experience in aviation maintenance as a license holder.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quality and Safety Department.
Understanding of the UAE GCAA requirements
