Full Job Description :- 

The Kanoo Group is looking for a Cook (Temporary – 6 months – will be reviewed) to be based in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate must have a passion for law and relevant university knowledge/ working experience within an In-House Legal Team or a Law Firm. We are looking for a young and energetic candidate to fill this role. You will have the opportunity to work in the legal team of one of the most prominent and progressive family business in the Middle East. Since this position will be based within our Shipping and Logistics divisions, prior industry experience will be advantageous, but is not a mandatory requirement.
**Kindly note that we can only consider candidates that are holding a valid residency visa from their parents/ spouse or a freelance visa**
• Relevant Admin experience (filing and documentation) – must be able to prove independent handling of job tasks. • Developing presentations and training material – ability to prepare effective slides for training presentations and knowledge to use technology solutions that will make training more engaging including use of surveys, polls/votes and engaging commentary.
• Ability to preparing presentations on newer platforms would be highlight valued including tools like Prezi.
• Crafting appropriate Presentations and Slide decks to summarize subject(s) to Senior Management and Directors/Ex-Com.
• Thorough awareness of Microsoft OneDrive and Teams
• Transcribing and proofreading legal documents.
• Filing, organizing, scanning, copying and managing legal documents.
• Editing and Track Change based formatting on MS Word
• Scheduling client meetings, organizing travel arrangements, meeting appointments.
• Invoice tracking and follow ups.
• Speaking with clients over the phone and in person.
• Activity deadline tracking.
• Managing legal templates and editing.
• Developing and monitoring case documentation.
• Prepares status reports and keeps clients informed of case progress.
• Contributes information to the legal team during case reviews.
• Familiar and up to date with latest Regulations. Updates professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
• Builds positive client relationships through effective communication, establishing trust and maintaining confidentiality.
• Update status and tracking reports, record and monitor deadlines.
• Create, format, revise and edit legal documents.
• Prepare and edit correspondence, minutes, letters, memos, presentations and spreadsheets.
• Write case briefs and synopses of depositions, contracts and testimony.
• Conduct thorough statistical/ documentary research.
• Source and verify important case intelligence.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Legal qualifications preferred. Alternatively, experience or background working with Legal departments would be of great value, or proven experience as Legal Secretary would be highly desirable.

• Must have an advanced level of Spreadsheet capabilities and other MS Office skills (focusing on Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).

• Thorough awareness of Microsoft OneDrive and Teams applications.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Arabic knowledge is not mandatory, but valued.

• You must be highly organized, efficient and able to handle stressful situations.

• Able to perform in a team, while being professional and courteous.

• Technical skills, including the ability to work with databases and case management software.

•Attention to detail. • Deadline-driven and ability to perform well under the pressure of multiple deadlines.

• Critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze complex information.

• Sound judgment and decision-making skills.

• Knowledge of legal terminology, regulations and court system.
