We have an excellent opportunity available for a Senior Business Development Manager (Senior – BDM) – Africa to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The role of Senior BDM Africa- which has been one of the fastest growing Kraft Heinz businesses- lies within the EMEA zone- part of the MENAF Commercial Business. Functionally- this role will report into the Head of Commercial – MENAF Business. As a Senior BDM- you will be leading and working with a high performing team- with high degree of autonomy and decision making- P&L Ownership- alongside peers who are always trying to reach the next level and exceed expectations. Functionally- the team will have BDMs leading business across different geographies in Africa. Besides Sales team- the full business team will involve dedicated commercial Finance and Supply Chain leads to facilitate business delivery and work closely to build business profitably. Reporting Line: Head of Commercial MENAF

Size of business: ~15Mn USD

Individual contributor/people manager role: this is a People Manager role with strong bias for action and taking independent decisions.

Main Responsibilities for the role include:

• Primary Responsibilities:
  • E2E business planning and delivery of Kraft Heinz portfolio IMS and Shipment Targets for the month- Quarter and Year
  • Laying out long term strategic roadmap for business in Africa with market & portfolio priorities spelled out clearly- willing to challenge the status quo and taking risks by stretching team & self- other function
  • Building business foundations with focus on Distribution- MSL- Channel engagement programs- New Product launches etc.
  • Distributor Management across markets under scope with clear focus on Ghana- building strategic business partnerships and engagement with our channel partners
  • Collaboratively working with Kraft Heinz Commercial Finance- Trade Marketing and Supply Teams to plan and execute initiatives in line with Annual Operating Plan (AOP)

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Management (preferable)
• Work experience of 8-10 Years with min of 3 years in Africa- with business development responsibilities
• Prior work experience in an FMCG environment will be an added advantage
• A strong command over English with an ability to understand and communicate clearly and effectively. Working knowledge of local language across markets will be a BIG added advantage
• Key Skills Required – Business Planning- strong interpersonal Skills- working with Ambiguity- Good P&L Understanding- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office.
