Full Job Description :- 

Data Scientist
Data Scientist will work directly work and assist Portfolio managers with converting datasets and sector trackers from Excel to Tableau visualization using Python/SQL architecture. He will also supply detailed analytics based on data sets to support investment themes & will learn fundamental L/S hard and soft skills including modeling, sector and secular trends across multiple industrial and consumer sectors.

Key Responsibilities:-

Convert our data sets from Excel/VBA to Tableau
Manage existing database, ensuring data is stored logically, efficiently and following best practices
Improve the quality of existing datasets, ensuring data is clean and reliable and merging with the different sources to create an official “best” data.
Monitor trends across more than 2,000 data sets
Bring new datasets on board, work with MLP data teams to expand available inputs, especially in less liquid products
Create automated solutions that make existing data collection and signal identification processes more efficient and scalable
Qualifications/Skills Required
Extensive experience in Tableau, Python , SQL and database management, other programming languages a plus
Expertise in systems design, front and back end development
Exposure to financial markets
Self-starter and able to work independently
Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentData Scientist
