We see our core teams as the foundation of our business outcomes, which distinguishes us as a unique and leading company.The Unit Finance Manager – Middle East role is accountable for overseeing the finance function and promoting strategic, long-term growth in accordance with the Unit’s business plan. The Unit envelops a $75 million USD business spread across eight trading entities in the Middle East. The role assists the Group and Region teams by providing high-quality financial information and analysis to the Unit and Regional boards to help them make decisions. Responsible for ensuring organisational regulatory compliance, providing business support services within accounting policies and procedures, and ensuring Mott MacDonald adheres to local and global financial regulations.

• Chartered Financial qualification preferable, with intent to complete studies if part qualified
• Applies knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organisation’s goals

• Advanced financial and accounting skills and basic commercial skills are a pre-requisite, and working knowledge of cross-border trading, statutory environment, and tax-advantageous
• Financial systems knowledge and application
• Advanced analytical skills and problem-solving skills. Interprets and applies key financial indicators to make better business decisions
• Effective communication with a clear and concise explanation, reasoning, and persuasion
• Able to create an inclusive team culture across the Unit and wider Region
• Respected team player who excels in managing, motivating, and developing dispersed teams
• Highly effective in working with little supervision and able to delegate but retain ownership and accountability
• Effective in interfacing with non-financial staff to achieve common deadlines with a team focus e.g., Unit GMs, HR, Legal.
