JOB PURPOSE

Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals

Key statements which describe the major accountabilities or responsibilities.

1. Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.

2. Analyze and document business processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies.

3. Coordinate and implement solutions from process analysis and general department projects.

4. Direct staff in the development, analysis, and preparation of reports.

5. Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.

6. Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation.

7. Coach and provide career development advice to staff.

8. Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.

9. Responsible for staff scheduling to include: work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.

10. Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.

11. Coordinate with Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels.

12. Schedule and conduct department meetings.

13. Responsible to meet department productivity and quality goals.

14. Communicate with Supervisors, Managers, and Vice Presidents on Department operations.

15. Complete human resource paperwork.

16. Implement the company’s Health, Safety and Environment policy.

17. Review 3rd party drawings or documentation for accuracy & detail.

18. Study, implementation, extension and closure of NOC’S and working drawings prior / during / after construction work.

19. Organizing availability of materials as required.

20. Attend Project Meetings as required.

21. Follow up with Local Authorities including Civil Defense for approval of Materials.

22. Promote and market LBCG Materials with possible clients.

23. Prepares cost estimations and tenders as instructed.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS (TECHNICAL & BEHAVIORAL):-

• Demonstrated computer skills using MS Office and planning programs (i.e. MS projects ,Primavera)
• Business acumen and financial management skills
• Creative thinker with excellent people management skills
• Methodical in approach with a multi-cultural background and great leadership ability

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:-

• Graduate Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Experience in various techniques for gas utilization, installation and conversion.
• Appropriate experience for testing, purging and commissioning of all Gas Distribution disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in gas industry engineering, construction and operations.
• Managing various numbers of direct and/or contractors.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills in English.
• A valid U.A.E. driving license.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:-

• 5 – 10 years in gas industry engineering, construction and operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to AED 20,000.00 per month
