Job Description
A truly unique opportunity has arisen within our Finance Team, as Personal Assistant for MENA Region. In this role, with international exposure, you will be part of the Region Leadership Team and you will be responsible for all finance operations in the Region .
Amongst your accountabilities, you will ensure the effective financial management for the Region, the implementation and management of robust financial processes and controls to ensure financial compliance as well as the effective management of local rolling forecast and order process. Furthermore, your responsibility will include, but not limited to, the following tasks:
Accurate and comprehensive local financial management and timeline reporting to HQ
Robust processes and SOPs to underpin financial compliance
Insightful financial analysis to support planning and delivery of Sales and Contribution Region targets
Manage external financial service providers (tax, payroll, audit, etc.)
Ensure timely and accurate filing of local statutory financial and tax documentation.
Strong contribution as part of the Region Leadership Team to building the Vifor Pharma business in MENA
Financial Management
Monitor sales, expenditure, invoice processing
Provide financial information to MENA GM on a regular and ad hoc basis
Work with HQ finance to ensure efficient monthly closing of accounts
Manage local bank accounts, payroll and external payments
Managing partners cash collection & PO
Financial Processes
Establish and run a monthly financial process which support achievement of financial Objectives
Ensure monthly reporting documentation is completed accurately and timelines are met
Establish relevant SOPs to ensure compliance with local and HQ financial requirements
Establish, monitor and review levels of authority in line with corporate guidance
Planning
Support annual planning cycle by providing information and analysis
Produce financial information for inclusion in submissions/presentations
Support business cases for portfolio expansion
Rolling Forecasts and Orders
Operates a monthly S&OP Process involving relevant stakeholders
Work with supply chain to ensure accurate forecasting, timely ordering and avoid stock-outs
Compliance management
Work with Regional Head to ensure compliance with local and global requirements
Support audits
For this role, we are looking for an experienced, trustworthy and reliable candidate, with strong communication skills and able to constructively challenge the status quo. Following requirements complete your profile:
University degree in Economics/Accounting/Finance
Qualified accountant familiar with command accounting standards
Minimum 10 years experience in an operational and management finance role with growing responsibilities
Experience with financial reporting and related tools and systems
Strong analytical skills coupled with high capability in managing data and utilizing analytical tools
Experience of providing financial forecasts and analysis to support business processes and proposals
Strong team working skills and experience
Fluent in English, both oral and written
Computer skills, with higher level understanding of MS Excel and Powerpoint
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a strong advantage
Experience of working with partners/ clients would be an asset
Previous knowledge /experience in Middle East markets
