Full Job Description :-
1. Performs a variety of tasks requiring extensive knowledge of the training programs, policies, procedures, and instructional methods.
2. Coordinates the ALS Ongoing Education and Training Program (OTEP) throughout Thurston County, to include scheduling ALS Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
3. instructors and/or evaluators for ongoing training programs; ensuring availability of adequate and appropriate ALS EMS equipment for on-site classes; and maintaining appropriate records and process paperwork as required to ensure and maintain ALS provider certification.
4. Assists with initial training courses by functioning as Senior EMS Instructor, EMS Evaluator, EMS Instructor, Patient Coordinator and/or Moulage Specialist. Maintains appropriate records and process paperwork as required to ensure ALS provider initial certification.
5. Provide administrative support functions and assists in annual ALS EMS Instructor Trainer Classes and ALS traditional recertification classes.
Maintains ALS EMS training resource files and/or library to include slides, video tapes, and educational material for use by all system providers.
6. Assists professional level program staff in the creation of educational materials, to include ALS OTEP curriculum and examinations, ALS EMS Instructor/Evaluator Manuals, initial training course orientation binders, and ALS training calendar.
7. Maintains an inventory of training supplies and equipment to include replacement and repairs. Responsible for audio/visual production to augment curriculum development. Represents Program Manager with regards to ALS training and operational issues in the medical and lay community as assigned.
8. Provides general administrative support duties as assigned.
