Job Tittle:  Assistant Manager Governance

 

Full Job Description :- 

WB Governance is overall responsible for overseeing a strong governance framework within the WB business It plays an active role in implementing and ensuring its alignment with the banks strategic regulatory and control practices defined primarily by compliance operational risk and audit.

WB Governance has also been identified as the designated unit for review of certain high risk related activities as an independent unit for WB business. As such HRA Approval Unit is being formed within the WB Governance and BDM. This unit is primarily responsible for review of high-risk cases and or customer name screening hit referrals referred by business units within WB during onboarding of a new existing customer.

WB customer onboarding activities related account opening and maintenance for WB are managed by unit. Moreover, annual CDD and PEP and other reviews are also performed. Trigger alerts and regulatory requirements are being centrally managed by the unit.

Brief Description:

  • Prioritize onboarding cases
  • High Risk Account Analysis and Enhance Due Diligence reviews
  • Exceptional experience throughout the onboarding and CDD journey
  • Ensure quality/ standards are being met across the end-to-end review process
  • Oversee the completion of onboarding cases in an efficient and timely manner and in line with productivity goals
  • Identify inaccuracies or defects that might emerge during the onboarding process and work with the stakeholder to explain steps required to solve these issues
  • Maintain an in depth understanding and comprehension of the various compliance policies related to client onboarding and thus act as a subject matter expert to stakeholders across EI
  • Provide practical consultative support to team members and management and the various business units to ensure compliance risks are proactively identified and appropriately managed
  • Works collaboratively across WB business teams and encourages others to achieve results within the operational compliance related activities accountability to EI Compliance
  • Maintain an in depth understanding and comprehension of the various compliance policies and thus act as a subject matter expert to WB
  • Monitor Progress on Remediation of FATCA, CRS, HRR & PEP etc.
  • Monitor Closure of RFIs at L1, L2.
  • Monitor Exits, Mandatory Non-Mandatory
  • Provide coaching and training for the staff where needed
  • Supervise and motivate the team members including quality and productivity
  • Ensure reduce back and forth
  • Support in Central Bank reporting

Qualifications:-

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above
  • Good understanding of Banking local regulations and current developments
  • ACAMS would be an added advantage
  • At least 10 years of experience in Banking industry of which 3 years within Governance or Compliance teams
  • Working knowledge of Know Your Customer, KYC policies and procedures
  • Knowledgeable of Business Entity Types and Beneficial Ownership
  • Good Knowledge of Basic Banking activities
  • Good Understanding of the bank operations basic product knowledge is needed
  • Excellent communication in written and verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to consistently achieve productivity goals
  • Thorough knowledge of computers MS office is a must
  • Strong team player skills such as leadership supervision motivation delegation
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently and with the team
  • Ability to define and drive targets for the team
  • Ability to quickly understand and utilize internal tools systems used
  • Ability to prioritize work in a time pressure environment
  • Ability to develop working relationships with business partners
  • Ability to provide coaching and training
