About the Role
GEMS Al Barsha National School is seeking an experienced Lab Assistant to join their Science Department immediately.
Responsibilities:
• Organise, prepare and manage all science experiments and practicals under the guidance of the Head of Department
• The overall maintenance of Design Technology labs and organisation of experiments
• Maintain and update register of Lab equipment.
• Maintain and update register of chemicals and other consumables.
• Prepare Lab experiments and practicals in coordination with the Head of Department and Teachers.
• Responsible for keeping the labs organised and clean in coordination with the Head of Department and Teachers.
• Report breakage/damage of equipment to Head of Department.
• Responsible for safety procedures in the Labs in coordination with other members of the department
• Prepare annual list of consumables, glassware and equipment in conjunction with Head of Department
• Ensure Labs are locked when not in use.
• Ensure the GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
• Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical work day, where the tasks require additional commitment.
• Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
• Perform other duties as requested by direct & dotted reporting line managers / supervisors. About Your Benefits Qualifications:
