Jubna is a Leading Content Discovery Network in MENA & Beyond!

We are seeking for a highly skilled WordPress Developer to design and implement attractive and functional websites for our clients. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.

The candidate will join our team in Dubai and should have at least a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in WordPress Developing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Closely work with the Technical Team to discuss website design and function.
  • Designing and building the website front-end.
  • Creating the website architecture.
  • Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
  • Generating WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Conducting website performance tests.
  • Troubleshooting content issues.
  • Conducting WordPress training with the client.
  • Monitoring the performance of the live website.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming or any related sciences
  • At least 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience as a WordPress developer
  • Proficiency using WordPress theme (ACF, WPForms, custom post types and taxonomies), theme and plugin customization and development
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git and SVN.
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript, PHP, JSON
  • Experience using debugging tools such as Firebug and Chrome Inspector
  • Experience delivering fully-responsive “mobile first” websites.
  • AMP knowledge and development experience preferred.
  • Experience with MAMP, WAMP or local environments
  • Familiarity with MySQL and the WordPress $wpdb object
  • Knowledge of developing with SEO best practices in mind
  • Strong understanding of front-end and back-end website development
  • WooCommerce development experience will be a plus
