Full Job Description :-
Responsibilities:
- Handle variety of assignments within the metallurgical laboratory for testings in the areas of mechanical, metallurgical, corrosion and coatings and be accountable for technical activities of a limited scope and take up individual projects and deliver as per the expectations within the committed timescale either in the lab or at site
- Effectively contribute to technical presentations and communications with the team members and the client as and when needed while working on well-defined issues, standard and/or routine tests, with limited supervision in accordance with approved procedures, methods, customer specifications and standards
- Manage job priority and work time in accordance with targets/goals set by supervisor under close guidance of Senior Engineers & other Engineers in the laboratory, on well delineated technical issues including standard and routine analysis
Skills / Qualifications:
- A Bachelors of Science degree in Metallurgy or related field along with in-depth understanding of testing concepts
- Ability to analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed and able to apply an array of testing techniques in a rational and practical style to help examine issues and build solutions
- Possess strong computer skills
- Able to exert required physical force: Minimum (moderate) and able to handle lifting requirements (lifting <50 lbs. often and >50 lbs. on occasion)
- Able to stand on feet for long periods of time
