RESPONSIBILITIES
Special focus in Financial Services, Capital Markets, Islamic Finance, Risk & Compliance and Sustainable Finance
Event projects may include large scale conferences, round tables, and workshops; both physical and virtual in nature.
Development, production, and delivery of projects from proposal right up to delivery.
Communicating, and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project.
Communicating, maintaining, and developing client relationships.
Developing event themes, key messages, concept notes, agendas, and session briefs, in line with client objectives.
Researching and suggesting suitable speakers and managing the speaker on boarding and briefing process.
Supporting the development of sponsorship packages, identifying benefits and costs for sponsors, and managing the on boarding of sponsors.
Managing development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials.
Preparing written materials including marketing copy, business communications, reports, and presentation scripts.
Analyzing marketing and communications programs and make recommendations to adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.
Required to coordinate closely with internal teams.
Team player, with a flexible attitude and approach.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Good critical thinking, questioning, and listening skills; excellent attention to detail.
Time management skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously, while completing work within allocated time frames.
Advanced skills using Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiar with social media best practices

PROFESSIONAL AND ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s Degree holder in Marketing and communication or Business administration.
Advanced degree may be preferred.
Strong communications skills in English (Arabic is a plus) including proven record of developing written material.
Financial background is a plus
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in marketing and communications, preferably in the financial services industry.
Work experience in the Islamic finance industry is preferable
